Acupuncture Timed to Your IVF or IUI Cycle
I regularly see patients who are going through treatment at Fertility Clinics in Beverly Hills and throughout Los Angeles. I schedule your sessions around your clinic's calendar so acupuncture supports each phase of the cycle rather than working separately from it:
Preparation: Ideally we start about three months before retrieval, as that is roughly how long an egg takes to mature.
Stimulation: Sessions during stimulation focus on boosting blood flow to the ovaries, how you respond to medication and managing stress.
Egg Retrieval: Ideally twice weekly sessions during stimulation and before the egg retrieval
EmbryoTransfer: Ideally twice weekly sessions leading up to the embryo transfer and two sessions on embryo transfer day, one 20 minutes before transfer the other 20 minutes after transfer, to support a calm, receptive uterine environment.
Two-week wait: Gentle weekly support for the nervous system and the luteal phase during the hardest stretch of the cycle.
Bring your protocol, medication schedule, and labs to your first visit. I read them alongside your Chinese medicine diagnosis so your care fits what your reproductive endocrinologist’s plan

FABORM stands for Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine. It's a board certification for acupuncturists with advanced training in reproductive medicine. In practice, it means I understand ART protocols, fertility medications, and reproductive endocrinology labs, and I can talk with your medical team in their language. When you're paying for IVF, you want the person supporting your cycle to understand everything that's happening in it
